Great Side Dish for a Holiday

I got this recipe about 20 years ago from a friend.  Every time I serve it, I am asked for the recipe.  It is quick to make and you can mix it the day before.  This bean dish is great with ham and anything barbecued.


Three Bean Casserole

1 medium can of pork n’ beans

1 medium can lima or butter beans (drain ½ of liquid, don’t rinse)

1 medium can kidney beans (drain  ½ of liquid, don’t rinse)

7 strips of thick sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 cup longhorn cheese cut into small cubes

1 TBLSP Worcestershire sauce

½ cup brown sugar

Mix all together in a 3 quart casserole.  Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.  You can also heat in a crockpot on low for a couple of hours and then turn the heat to the warm setting. 
Makes 8 servings and is easily doubled.
